Black Ridge wines are made exclusively from grapes grown in the Black Ridge Vineyard. Careful vineyard management and selective handpicking during harvest ensures optimum ripeness, flavours and the highest quality attainable for our wines. Our 'terroir', age of vines and microclimate are key contributors to the special, uniqueness of Black Ridge. Pinot Noir is our flagship wine with yields typically less than two tonnes/acre. The two aromatic wines, Gewürztraminer and Riesling, were some of our original plantings over 24 years ago and are now highly prized for their distinctive character and quality. Our Chardonnay is a lightly oaked style and Otago Gold is a blended white wine that is the perfect summertime barbecue wine. A low yield year has made this an intense wine. Hand picked and matured in French oak barrels. Rich aromas and flavours of blackberries and sweet black cherries. Velvety fruit tannins with peppery spicy edges, A long persistent fruit and spice finish. |

Hand picked and matured in new French oak. Unfined and unfiltered. A bouquet scented with violets and sweet black cherries. Silky fruit tannins, sweet fruit with spicy edges. Mouth filling with persistent lingering flavours. |

A lighter style of Pinot Noir. A scented aromas of sweet black cherries. The mid palate has sweet fruit, soft tannins, and peppery spicy edges with a satisfying finish. |

Old Vine Riesling 2007 $20.00 |
Celebrating 25 years since we planted our Riesling, this wine has delightful aroma and flavour. Made in a full medium style, it gives aromas of ripe limes and lemons with hints of apricot. The sweet citrus and apricot flavours are balanced with an acid backbone. The mineral flavours show the character of the soils in which the old vines grow. A sweet lingering finish. |

This rich medium wine celebrates our 25 year anniversary of Gewurztraminer plantings. These old vines have produced a classic Gewurztraminer with aromas of ginger, spices and lychees. Intense, mouth filling and rich in flavour. A long lingering finish of turkish delight. |

The bouquet has ripe stone fruit
flavours combined with sweet oak. The remainder was on lees in
stainless steel. The mid palate has a good depth of stone fruit flavour
as well as mealy, nutty flavours of hazelnuts and cashews. A firm
finish. |

An unoaked chardonnay with apple blossom and ripe
peaches dominating the palate. A cool fermentation has enhanced the
fruit flavours and given a satisfying finish. |

of ripe blackcurrants and blackberries. The mid palate has sweet fruit
and with peppery edges and a hint of chocolate. Firm tannins and a good
